Choose Your Path
Police vs Criminal: Which Path to Choose?
Badge or bandana — the choice that defines your story
In Living Legends RP, the most fundamental choice you'll make is which side of the law calls to you. Both paths offer deep gameplay, unique experiences, and plenty of RP opportunities. Let's break them down.
👮 Police Life
- Steady paycheck and benefits
- Access to police vehicles & equipment
- MDT system for investigations
- K9 units and air support
- Chain of command progression
- Community respect (usually)
- Clear rules of engagement
- Team-based operations
🔫 Criminal Life
- High risk, high reward income
- Freedom to operate your way
- Gang territory and rep system
- Drug manufacturing & sales
- Heists and robberies
- Black market connections
- Build your own empire
- Underground reputation
The Police Path
Joining the LSPD means becoming part of a structured organization with clear ranks, responsibilities, and opportunities for advancement.
What You'll Do
- Patrol — Cruise the streets, respond to calls, conduct traffic stops
- Investigate — Collect evidence, interview witnesses, build cases
- Pursue — High-speed chases with advanced driving techniques
- Arrest — Process suspects, read rights, handle paperwork
- Specialize — K9 handler, air support, detective, SWAT
Best For Players Who...
- Enjoy structure and teamwork
- Want consistent income without risk
- Like being "the good guys"
- Enjoy tactical operations
- Want to use cool equipment (tasers, spike strips, helicopters)
The Criminal Path
Choose the streets and you'll enter a world of risk, reward, and reputation. Build your empire from the ground up — just don't get caught.
What You'll Do
- Hustle — Start small with store robberies and work your way up
- Cook — Set up drug labs for manufacturing operations
- Run — Distribute product and manage territory
- Heist — Plan and execute bank jobs, jewelry stores, armored trucks
- Lead — Form or join a gang, control turf, build reputation
Best For Players Who...
- Enjoy risk and adrenaline
- Want freedom to make their own rules
- Like building something from nothing
- Enjoy outsmarting opponents
- Want dramatic, high-stakes RP
🎭 Why Not Both?
Many players create multiple characters — one on each side of the law. It's a great way to experience everything the server has to offer and understand both perspectives.
The Third Option: Civilian Life
Don't feel pressured to pick extremes! Many of the best RP happens in the middle ground:
- Business Owner — Run a legitimate shop, gas station, or restaurant
- Mechanic — Work on cars, meet everyone in the city
- EMS/Doctor — Save lives, see the aftermath of both sides
- Lawyer — Defend criminals in court
- Journalist — Report on city events
Making Your Choice
There's no wrong answer. The best RP comes from playing a character you're genuinely interested in. Ask yourself:
- What stories do I want to tell?
- What kind of interactions excite me?
- Do I prefer structure or freedom?
- Am I okay with losing sometimes?
Remember: your character can evolve over time. The rookie cop who becomes corrupted. The criminal who goes straight. The civilian pulled into the underworld. That's the beauty of roleplay — your story unfolds naturally.
