Essential FiveM Keybinds

Living Legends RP • March 2026 • 6 min read

Knowing your keybinds makes FiveM roleplay smoother. From chat commands to vehicle controls, mastering these controls lets you focus on RP instead of fighting with your keyboard.

Basic Movement and Actions

Standard GTA controls apply: WASD movement, Shift sprint, Ctrl crouch, Space jump, E interact. Most servers keep these defaults, but check server-specific settings.

Voice Chat Controls

Push-to-talk is usually N or Caps Lock. Voice range cycles with Z (whisper/normal/shout). Radio activation varies by server — often Y or configured through settings.

Chat Commands

T opens chat. Common prefixes: /ooc for out-of-character, /me for actions, /do for environment descriptions. Each server may have additional chat commands for specific features.

Vehicle Controls

Beyond basic driving: Left Ctrl horn, H headlights, Shift handbrake in some servers. Emergency vehicles often have siren controls on Q and light controls on E.

Inventory and Phone

Tab or I typically opens inventory. Phone access varies — often P or through inventory. Phones are essential for communication, GPS, and various RP features.

Console and Menu

F8 opens the FiveM console for direct commands. Many servers use F1, F2, or other F-keys for server menus, job menus, and settings. Learn your server's specific layout.
