Emotes and animations bring your character to life visually. Knowing how to use them enhances every RP interaction, from casual conversations to intense confrontations.
Basic Emote Usage
Most servers use /e [emote name] or /emote [name] to trigger animations. Some use radial menus or key bindings. Check your server's specific system. To cancel an emote, usually walk or use /e cancel.
Common Social Emotes
Essential social emotes include: wave, point, shrug, nod, facepalm, laugh, clap, and thumbsup. These add visual expression to conversations.
Sitting and Lounging
Sitting emotes work with benches, chairs, and ground: sit, sitchair, lean, crouch. Position yourself near furniture before activating for best results.
Work and Activity Emotes
Job-related animations include: clipboard, phone, drink, eat, smoke, fish. These help roleplay specific activities convincingly.
Combat and Injury Emotes
For intense scenes: handsup, kneel, cower, injured, onfloor. Injured emotes are particularly important — don't walk normally when you've been shot.
Server-Specific Emotes
Many servers add custom emotes beyond default options. Check your server's emote list or ask in Discord. Living Legends RP features extensive custom animations for all situations.
